In the northeast of the city center of Bremen in the suburbs of the train station you will find the main train station of Bremen. The station, which was awarded the title "Metropolitan Station of the Year" in August 2012, has been in existence since 1847 - but at that time it was in a different location. At the end of the 1880s, the architect Hubert Stier erected the building on the Bahnhofsplatz in Bremen, where the main station is still located today. The neo-renaissance style building has always fascinated its visitors with its special architecture.

The reception building on the south side of the tracks has been a listed building since 1973. At the beginning of the 21st century, the entrance hall on the north side was added and since then offers an exit directly to Bürgerweide.
