The musical theater has been offering regularly changing shows since 1999 and, after some initial difficulties, has become the most visited cultural institution in Bremen. Every six months new musicals are presented here and attract new, but also enthusiastic "regular spectators" to the concert hall.

The theater has a total of 1451 seats, which are distributed among the stalls, the 1st tier, the 2nd tier and ten boxes. The spacious foyer extends over 3 floors and the largest open staircase in Germany leads from there to the individual hall entrances.
